The following is an image of a stretch of walkway alongside the ocean beside Charlton Esplanade going from Point Vernon towards Scarness. If you ever walk here, you will notice an eagle nest atop a pole on the left and a stretch of houses on the right. Numerous butcher birds, Peewees and magpies hunt along here, as well as the occasional ibis. If you get closer to the rocks near the ocean, you will often see predators birds diving in for fish, including eagles and gulls.

Paraweena Park 02

In the previous post, I introduced you to Paraweena Park, parkland across from the Cove. Today, we will begin to explore the native flora of the area. Though I do not know the name of the plant featured in this photo, I believe that you will find it as beautiful as I do. The fragrant flower stays fresh for days after it has been dropped from the plant and it is has quite a lovely aroma. If any of you know the name of this plant, let me know, because I would love to put a real name to it.

Paraweena Park 01

Across from the Cove is a lovely piece of parkland with an abundance of native flora and fauna known as Paraweena Park. Attached is the first of multiple pieces of the stretch of land, featuring the sign that welcomes people onto the block of land wherein kangaroos and other wildlife find refuge from the world beyond.

Another photo of The Cove down the road, this time it is a picture of one the old dead trees standing tall long after its death. (N.B. At the base, a small shrub has made its residence, feeding off of the decaying plant. Such is the cycle of life.)

Introduction to Keiko Photo

As some of my readers are no doubt already aware, I like to take photos. However, due to a lack of funds, I am restricted to using my LG Viewty (KU990), which does have a good resolution, but lacks the bells and whistles that digital cameras have. I have decided to share some of my photos with you guys, as a show of appreciation and to let you know more about me as an individual. This website is the product.

Over the months to come, I will be posting a variety of photos for your enjoyment and encourage you to let me know what you think. Feel free to send in requests as well, as I might just be able to offer something in return for this feedback and interest in the website. I look forward to hearing back from you the reader in the not-so-distant future.
